From the 1984 film of the same name, Footloose is the story of a young man who moved from the city who attempts to adapt to life in an ultra-conservative, puritanical small Midwestern town. He finds himself leading the local teenagers into rebellion against the town fathers, who have outlawed rock and roll and dancing. This musical contains many familiar hits including “Almost Paradise”. “Let’s Hear It For the Boy:”, “Holding Out for a Hero” and the hugely popular title song. “Lose your blues; everybody cut footloose!”
