Dear Season Sponsors and Circle of Friends, 6/20/09

You are my core support group for Grace Arts live main street theatre. Your donations, season ticket commitments, and word of mouth advertising are the keys to our continued success. Imagine the world without music and dance, or literature and art. Life is incomplete without ways to express ourselves, and to discover who we are and what we can be. Each of you has supported the arts in its many diverse forms. We can all lean life lessons through an appreciation of the arts. Each performance allows us a brief escape from reality while teaching us something important. We, together as a team, broaden our perspectives through creativity and imagination. And when creativity comes to life, others are inspired to follow.

With today’s business markets perpetually in motion and local market conditions are at a low point, we have each suffered the impact in different ways. The reality is that each of our businesses is dependent upon the success of the others’. For our businesses to prosper in an uncertain world, we must reach out to one another and make a difference. A community’s commitment to arts and culture says a lot about the kind of place it is to work and to live. Grace Arts live has brought new life to main street. Our creative work has put many smiles upon your faces, and a tear to your eye. Even in the hardest of times, art replenishes the spirit. Pablo Picasso said “Art washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life”.

My friends, if theatre on main street is going to continue it will be because of you and your desire to experience it up close and personal, as you have for the last two years. Your pride of ownership in a true community theatre is what keeps our doors open. I have created a theatre wish list, a needs list, a dream list, so to speak, of what our theatre will need to continue our vision of an arts rich community in the future. Some of our wishes are small, some of them are great, and some may never come true but by the simple act of asking our dream of bringing theatre to you may continue.

As always, I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support, trust, and vision for the future.
Sincerely,

Grace Ann Etcheberria-Jacobs
